into camp.

    Tell us what's sitting around

Old condensers, copper, aluminum, brass — even a car that's been in the side yard for years. If it's metal and it's yours, we'd love to come help.

  2. 02

    Scouts come clean it up

It's community service, with two-deep adult leadership. We pull, sort, and load. Household trash and yard waste we'll leave behind — we're a scout troop, not a dumpster service.

  3. 03

Finding Gilwell goes to the yard

Adults haul the load to Indian River Salvage on 45th Street. You don't have to come along. Finding Gilwell collects the cash from the yard — and that cash is your donation.

That gift sends scouts to camp

Finding Gilwell, Inc. puts it toward Troop 532 summer camp and operations, and will send a written acknowledgment as requested.

Copper, coils, aluminum, steel, and any other metal you were going to throw away.

Evacuated window units and mini-split condensers are some of the best metal most households have — bring a copy of the receipt for the replacement unit, or the yard cannot take them. Clean pipe is next. Cans are welcome if you already bag them.
